VICKINI’s stainless steel door hinges are used for hinged doors with the door thickness of 35 - 50mm. The bearing load of each individual hinge depending on the type ranges from 30 - 70kg. The manufacturing process of them is as follows:
• Step 1 - Forced through a mold: Metal coil is discharged first, then compressed the metal workpiece against a specially-shaped die by high pressurized force and cut to become a draw door hinge shape.
• Step 2 – Detail machining: Depending on the requirements of the hinge’s application, it is also common for manufacturers to pre-drill or punch holes with precision.
• Step 3 – Surface treatment: the draw hinges will be involved in removing extra material from the workpiece by cutting, shearing and polishing, smoothing to form it into the hinge component which is ready for plating.
• Step 4 – Plating: plating stage can increase a hinge’s decorative appeal, increase the rust-proofing can help the hinge will have a longer life. The plating layer can be done by electroplating metals method of such as chromium, ferrous nickel, and copper. After plating, workers will check the coating surface to move the desired products to the next step or re-plating them.
• Step 5 – Assembling: the assembly process is performed semi-automatically. On the line, workers will assemble hinge components with ball bearings between each joint, to ensure a smoother gliding action when the hinge is in motion.
• Step 6 – Quality testing: manufacturers must also perform quality assurance about load bearing, salts on metal surface test and functional test – opening/closing times to ensure that the hinges align properly when they are subjected to the weight they are expected to accommodate. Besides, workers will also check and remove poor quality products during the assembly process.
• Step 6 – Packaging: The hinges are packed in the plastic bag and the box, then they have been released for use.
