ACCESSORIES SOLUTION FOR FIRE-RESISTANT DOOR

Fire-resistant doors are types of doors that are produced by using special materials, with 2 steels layer and a layer of fire-resistant material in the middle. The fire-resistant doors withstand high temperatures to prevent fire from spreading to other areas, to help people escapes safely. This is an important part of commercial centers, hospitals, apartments and all buildings and installed in the emergency exit area or the staircase area.
The fire-resistant doors must meet quality requirements in accordance with QCVN 06:2020/BXD and Vietnamese standard TCVN 9383:2012 on fire resistance period of 60 minutes, 90 minutes or 120 minutes. In additions, to ensure the function of the fire-resistant doors, the accessories used for fire-resistant doors must meet the same fireproof period too. The fire-resistant door accessories include:
•    Door hinges and door lock: must be made from SUS304 stainless steel. Due to theirs good hardness and heat resistance up to 925 degrees, door hinges and door lock which are made from SUS304 stainless steel have the fire resistance period up to 120 minutes. In addition, using SUS304 stainless steel door hinges and door lock offer high durability because of its good bearing capacity to help the door works well.
•    Door closer: is an indispensable part of the fire-resistant doors. The fire-retardant doors are usually very heavy, so the door closer will help them close slowly without making noise. In the event of a fire, the door closer will help to prevent smoke from spreading to other safe areas. The door closer is made of aluminum alloy and has melting temperature up to 660 degrees. Therefore, it has the fire resistance period up to 120 minutes. The door stop won’t be burned, but deformed when it reaches a certain melting point.
