THE SIMPLE GUIDE TO INSTALL VICKINI’S DIGITAL LOCK

If you are looking to install a VICKINI's digital lock yourself, you can follow the following steps. With the drill position guide template, it's easy to do that. 

• Step 1 - Removing your old lock from the door: You must first remove and handle the existing deadbolt if you plan to replace both. 
• Step 2 - Drill Keyhole and lockbody hole: VICKINI provide a template to help you install the lock. The template is designed to work with doors of standard thicknesses and has reference points that may be marked on the door. After you mark the reference points from the template, use a hole saw to begin cutting the keyholes. When the pilot bit on the hole saw comes through the other side of the door, stop cutting. Finish the hole from the other side of the door to prevent splinters. Then, Drill the hole on the door edge to determine where the timber needs to be removed from the door, in order to allow the body of the mortice lock to slide into the door. Next, you can mortise the area around the faceplate until the faceplate fits properly. 
• Step 3 - Install lock body to the door: First, using a screw driver to change the direction of the latchbolt accordingly to the opening direction of the door. Insert the lock body, faceplate to the hole and screw in firmly.
• Step 4 - Install the exterior unit: Insert the studs and spindle to the exterior unit and then mount to the door. If necessary, shorten the spindle to suit your door thickness using an angle grinder or snap with pliers.
• Step 5 - Install the interior unit: Connect the wires in the 2 handle units together, and then mount the interior unit to the door to make it matches with the spindle. Fixing them firmly by fixing bolts and screws. Turn the handle to make sure the deadbolt works. 
• Step 6 - Fit receiver: Check the lock action with the door closed to ensure the position of the receiver/striking plate is correct, then screw it into position.

Now, insert the battery, set the function settings and you can enjoy the convenience of the keyless lock.
